At the plenary meetings on 21 May 2009, The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine scrutinized 41 issues of the agenda.
Due to the results of the scrutiny:
- 17 Laws and 18 Resolutions were adopted;
- 1 Bill was adopted as a basis;
- 7 Bills were returned to the Committees for further drafting for the repeated Second Reading;
- 5 Bills and 7 Draft Resolutions were rejected.
Due to the results of the scrutiny of President´s motions:
- veto of the President of Ukraine imposed on 1 Law was overridden;
- 1 Law was rejected (veto of the President of Ukraine not overridden).
